The automation of Southeast Asia's factory floor.
Bridging the manual labor gap by combining local industrial expertise with software depth and technical orchestration.

90% of factories, manual labour
Vietnam's manufacturing sector generates 60.2% of the country's GDP. 90% of factories still run on manual labor - the automation gap Gradion closes.
Transform manual production into data-driven scale through real-time visibility and orchestration.
The conviction behind the work
That gap between the scale of production and the level of automation is not a problem waiting to be solved by some future technology wave. The technology exists. The constraint is implementation: the engineers who understand both factory-floor reality and modern software systems, the partnerships with robotics and orchestration providers who can deliver at industrial scale, and the local presence that allows complex automation projects to run without disruption.
Gradion has made a direct bet on this: that Southeast Asia's manufacturing transformation will be the most significant industrial automation opportunity of this decade, and that the companies positioned at its center now will define how it unfolds. That is why we founded ACE.
ACE - Vietnam's Automation Centre of Excellence
The Vietnam Automation Centre of Excellence is not a marketing initiative. It is an operational infrastructure: a physical hub at Eastern International University in Binh Duong, surrounded by hundreds of active factories in Vietnam's densest industrial zone, purpose-built to accelerate automation adoption at scale.
ACE connects the three parties that must work together for automation to reach the factory floor:
- manufacturers who want to understand their options before committing capital
- system integrators who need software connectivity and orchestration
- robotics providers who need implementation partners with local presence and technical depth.
Gradion is the integrating force in that ecosystem.

The Schaeffler Vietnam pilot is the clearest demonstration of what Gradion's manufacturing capability looks like in production.
Schaeffler operates its Vietnam plant as an Advanced Production Technology Center for the Asia-Pacific region: the facility where pre-innovations are tested and validated before rollout across Korea, India, Thailand, and the broader network. Felix Thielemann, Head of Advanced Production Technology APAC, chose Gradion as the SYNAOS implementation partner for the first mobile robot deployment under that mandate.
Two robot brands - SEER Robots and HIK Robots - were onboarded to the SYNAOS fleet management system at the Schaeffler Vietnam plant. Neither had been connected to SYNAOS anywhere in Asia-Pacific before. Gradion handled the localization, the on-site execution, and the coordination between SYNAOS's engineering team and Schaeffler Vietnam's production environment. The system is now live. It is the foundation for Schaeffler's automation rollout across Southeast Asia.
That engagement illustrates the model: deep technical capability, local execution, and the partnership infrastructure to run complex industrial projects that connect German engineering standards with Vietnamese production reality.
The industrial software layer
Automation on the factory floor requires more than robots. It requires the software layer that connects machines to management: MES and ERP integration that routes production data into planning and financial systems in real time, OEE tracking per line per shift per SKU, IIoT sensor connectivity across heterogeneous hardware, and the cybersecurity posture that industrial environments require when OT and IT converge.
Gradion has delivered this across manufacturing plants in Thailand, Germany, and Vietnam - precision aerospace components, industrial safety systems, intralogistics automation - as a certified Infor partner and as the SYNAOS implementation partner for Southeast Asia. The engagement with Senior Aerospace Thailand moved production efficiency from 55 percent toward operational targets. The engagement navigated the organizational complexity of a safety-critical digitisation program from requirements through compliance alignment.
