Your communication. Your servers.
AI-native team communication deployed on your own infrastructure. Full source code. Self-hosted AI. Component-based licensing. For regulated industries that cannot compromise on data sovereignty.
Let's talk
The problem with your current setup
Your data is not yours
Slack runs on Salesforce's cloud. Teams runs on Microsoft's cloud. Your most sensitive conversations, deals, strategies, client information: stored on someone else's servers, processed by someone else's AI.
For regulated industries, this is not an inconvenience. It is a compliance risk. BaFin, MAS, GDPR, HIPAA: regulators increasingly require organisations to demonstrate data control and residency.
Your AI is a black box
Slack added Claude. Microsoft bundles Copilot. Neither lets you read the code. Neither lets you audit what the AI does with your data. Neither runs on your infrastructure.
In 2026, the question is not whether to use AI in communication. The question is who controls it.
Your costs compound without value
Slack costs approximately EUR 112K per year for 500 users. Teams plus Copilot stacks AI licensing on top every year. Per-seat pricing means cost grows with headcount, not with value.
You pay more each year for the same product. The vendor captures the upside. You absorb the cost.
What Gradion Workspace is
AI-native team communication: channels, threads, direct messaging, file sharing, search. Everything your team uses daily, deployed on your servers.
Full platform source code delivered. Licensed components and agents maintained by Gradion via versioned updates. The rest of the codebase is yours to extend freely.
AI agents powered by a self-hosted LLM on your infrastructure. No external API calls. Your prompts, your data, your servers.
Component-based licensing per user per month. Service contracts available but never required.
Built for the people who decide
For your CISO
Data stays on your servers. Full audit trail. GDPR-compliant by architecture. SSO, DLP, and enterprise controls included. Your DPO can verify: no Gradion server ever stores or processes your data.
For your CFO
Cheaper than Microsoft Teams in Year 1. 40-50% lower 5-year TCO. Component-based licensing: pay for what you deploy. No per-seat surprises as headcount grows.
For your CTO
Full platform source code. Licensed components maintained by Gradion. Self-hosted LLM: no external API calls. Extend, modify, or build custom agents. Slack-compatible API for existing integrations.
Built-in AI Agents
Brief
Morning digest: prioritized action items from overnight messages. Filters noise, flags urgent, suggests replies.
Aria
The universal conversational interface. Not just search: a plugin layer that connects to any external system. Book a holiday, onboard a client, close a deal, file an expense. All through natural language.
Pulse
Organisation-wide intelligence: detects unresolved blockers, unanswered mentions, repeated questions. Acts on low-risk items automatically.
Guide
Onboarding agent: new hires get full context in minutes. Key channels, past decisions, important people, internal acronyms.
System Agents
Connect to HubSpot, Jira, Google Calendar and more. Look up, draft, update: all without leaving Workspace.
All agents ship with full source code. Configure prompts, add new agents, or build custom agents via the plugin layer. Licensed agents maintained by Gradion as long as unmodified.
The delivery model
Not SaaS. Component-based delivery.
Gradion builds and maintains software components and AI agents as versioned, licensed modules. You deploy everything on your own infrastructure.
Full source code. Clear boundaries.
You receive the full platform source code. Licensed components stay maintained by Gradion via versioned updates. If you modify a licensed component, Gradion can no longer maintain it. The rest of the codebase is yours.
Service contracts are optional
Bronze, Silver, Gold tiers available for maintenance, customization, and support. You can run Workspace with zero Gradion involvement.
How we compare
vs Slack
Slack's AI now runs on Claude, but your data still lives on Salesforce's cloud. You cannot inspect or modify Slack's AI logic. Gradion Workspace: source code on your servers.
vs Microsoft Teams + Copilot
Teams has EU data center options for infrastructure. Teams AI is still processed on Microsoft servers, and the logic is not auditable. Gradion Workspace: self-hosted LLM, full source code.
vs Mattermost / Rocket.Chat
Open source and self-hosted, but no built-in AI agents and no managed component delivery. Gradion Workspace: AI-native with versioned updates. Self-hosted without the maintenance burden.
Who this is for
50-500 employees in regulated industries. Finance, legal, healthcare, government. DACH and APAC.
Organisations with data residency requirements that make public cloud communication tools a compliance risk.
Teams currently on Slack or Microsoft Teams where cost is compounding and data sovereignty is a concern.
Not for: small teams under 50 users on basic Slack or Teams. The economics work at scale.
Internal pilot: May 2026
Gradion Workspace is live on Gradion infrastructure for 150-250 employees. First external customer engagements targeted Q3/Q4 2026 in APAC and DACH. Interested in early access? Talk to us.
Common questions
How long does deployment take?
Proof of concept deployment in your dev environment takes approximately one day. Full production deployment depends on your infrastructure and integration requirements.
Can we use our existing Slack bots?
Workspace provides a Slack-compatible API. Most existing bots work without code changes.
What happens if we modify a licensed component?
Gradion can no longer maintain or update that specific modified component. The rest of the platform continues to receive versioned updates as normal.
Is this GDPR compliant?
By architecture, not by policy. No Gradion server ever stores or processes your data. Your DPO can verify this in the architecture diagram.
What LLM does it use?
The AI agents run on a self-hosted LLM deployed on your infrastructure. No external API calls. You control the model, the data, and the prompts.
