Gradion builds full-stack applications across Java, Python, TypeScript, Go, .NET, PHP, and Node. Platforms for online dating, e-commerce, travel, car rental, and enterprise document management. Backend Engineering

APIs, business logic, data persistence, background processing, and integration with third-party services. We build with Java and Spring Boot for enterprise-grade backends where transactional integrity and scalability matter. Python for data-adjacent applications, automation, and platforms where development velocity is the primary constraint. Go for high-throughput services where performance and deployment simplicity are the design goals. .NET for Microsoft-ecosystem clients. PHP with Symfony or Laravel for platforms where the ecosystem match justifies the choice. The language decision is driven by the problem, not by what the team happens to prefer.

Frontend Engineering

React, Angular, and Vue for modern web applications. TypeScript as the default for any frontend codebase that needs to be maintained, not just launched. We build component architectures that scale across teams and over time, and we pay attention to the parts of frontend work that are easy to deprioritise: accessibility, load performance, error states, and the edge cases that only appear when real users interact with the product.

API Design and Integration

Most full-stack projects are also integration projects. We design REST and event-driven APIs intended to be consumed, documented, and governed, not just functional. Where we are connecting to existing systems, ERP, payment processors, identity providers, third-party data sources, we build the integration layer so that the dependency does not become a fragility in the core product.

Node and TypeScript Across the Stack

For products where a unified language across frontend and backend reduces context-switching and accelerates delivery, we run TypeScript end-to-end with Node on the server side. This is not a default position, it is an option we apply when the team structure and project profile make it the right one. LemonSwan, Germany’s precision-built dating platform, was built and scaled from a single founding engineer to a full product team with this kind of stack discipline at its core.

Architecture for Longevity

A full-stack application is a long-term commitment. We make architecture decisions that account for that: modular boundaries that allow teams to work independently, data models that do not need to be redesigned when the product evolves, deployment configurations that do not tie the product to a single infrastructure provider. The aim is a codebase that the next engineer can understand, not just the one who wrote it.

PROOF IN PRODUCTION

LemonSwan

LemonSwan entered the German dating market against established incumbents including Parship and ElitePartner with a platform built around compatibility and trust rather than volume and velocity. Gradion built the platform end-to-end from a single founding engineer, handling architecture, implementation, infrastructure, and the team transition as LemonSwan internalised operations. By 2024 the platform had reached an estimated €8 million in revenue. That trajectory was built on a technical foundation designed to scale, not just to launch.

GoVibe

Full-stack delivery under real constraints: no in-person meetings, a 74 percent tourism downturn, and a founding team building a car rental platform for Hawaii from scratch during COVID-19. Gradion delivered the MVP across web and mobile in three months, including a custom admin portal and deal portal integration. The platform handled 290 percent booking growth by 2022 and 375 percent by 2024. Full-stack, remote, on time.
