Ho Chi Minh City, August 2025: Gradion exhibited at Automation World Vietnam 2025, held from 27 to 29 August at the WTC Expo, Binh Duong¹. The company’s presence highlighted how automation is evolving from isolated pilots to integrated ecosystems, and how Vietnam’s manufacturing base is adopting this shift.

From Show Floor to Strategic Impact

Automation World Vietnam 2025 offered more than product displays. As the official summary notes, the exhibition is *“a hub for a series of in-depth conferences … featuring experts, businesses and organisations from Vietnam, Korea, and many other countries”*².

Gradion’s booth focused not merely on technology, but on how manufacturers can turn automation into measurable business outcomes: reduced cost, improved quality, and greater agility.

“We didn’t build this booth for ego. We built it for impact.”

By collaborating with partners such as SYNAOS, KUKA, TUSKROBOTS, Deltia, Infor, and Autotech Machinery JSC, Gradion demonstrated how technologies like robot orchestration, intralogistics automation, and enterprise integration can converge into a unified ecosystem rather than standalone modules.

On-Stage Insights: The Urgency to Automate

During the conference sessions, Kien Nguyen, Head of Industry Solutions at Gradion, presented a keynote on “Scaling Automation in Vietnam’s Manufacturing Landscape.”

He highlighted that “nine out of ten factories in Vietnam still operate primarily with manual processes”, emphasizing that automation is not about replacing people but enabling Vietnamese talent to move up the value chain. Nguyen also outlined how early adopters can leverage government incentives and rising export opportunities to modernize production before the competitiveness gap widens.

The session featured case examples with partners such as SYNAOS, which demonstrated real-time orchestration across mixed robot fleets, and Deltia, which introduced AI vision systems that reduce cycle time by up to 20% through smart data capture.

Signing of Strategic MOU with HAuA

A major highlight of Gradion’s participation was the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed with the Ho Chi Minh City Automation Association (HAuA).

The agreement marks a commitment to develop a vendor-neutral automation ecosystem in Vietnam - one that promotes open standards, knowledge sharing, and applied innovation.

Through this collaboration, Gradion will contribute deep-tech expertise to strengthen industry standards, foster real-world adoption, and support Vietnamese manufacturers in reaching global competitiveness.

This milestone reinforces the growing recognition that automation must be built collectively through collaboration between enterprises, associations, and solution providers rather than isolated technology initiatives.

Booth Party: A New Format for Connection

Day 2 of the exhibition saw an unprecedented moment for Vietnam’s automation community: the country’s first booth party.

The event transformed Gradion’s booth into a space of energy, dialogue, and exchange. Industry leaders from Vietnam, Korea, and Germany gathered informally to share perspectives, forging new connections that extended beyond business cards and presentations.

The “AWesome Networking Party” blended music, culture, and conversation - showing that collaboration can be both strategic and human. For many attendees, it redefined how industrial exhibitions can foster genuine connection.

Why Vietnam Is at the Inflection Point

Vietnam’s automation market is forecast to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 12.4% from 2023 to 2030³. At the same time, the country’s manufacturing sector continues to expand under strong government policy support and global supply-chain shifts.

Automation World Vietnam 2025 identified smart manufacturing, logistics, and AI-driven systems as strategic verticals for growth⁴. For business leaders, automation is no longer a technology experiment, it is the operating system enabling Vietnamese industry to climb the global value chain.

What Gradion Brought to the Table

  • Ecosystem mindset: Gradion positioned its booth as a collaborative platform rather than a single-vendor showcase. Visitors engaged with real-time orchestrated multi-robot demonstrations, systems integrations, and process-driven analytics.

  • Localization with global standards: The booth content and engagement were tailored to the Vietnamese manufacturing context but grounded in global best practices of design, scalability, and execution.

  • Engagement beyond the booth: Networking activities and peer interactions enabled cross-border dialogues. As one recap noted, “No podium. No filters. Just the people who will write the next chapter of automation.”

Takeaways for Manufacturers and Industry Leaders

  • Automation adoption is multi-dimensional: Beyond robots and sensors, success lies in orchestrating systems, data flows, processes, and people.

  • Ecosystem over silos: The demonstration underlined the value of collaboration between technology providers, integrators, and manufacturers.

  • Vietnam entering a golden window: With strong manufacturing growth, rising wages, and policy support for Industry 4.0, Vietnam is uniquely positioned to accelerate automation adoption.

What’s Next

Gradion’s participation at Automation World Vietnam 2025 serves as a foundation for the upcoming launch of its Automation Center of Excellence (ACE) in Binh Duong, scheduled for 8 September 2025. The center will turn ideas and demonstrations into applied use cases and measurable outcomes, accelerating automation adoption in Vietnam.

Manufacturers, engineers, and decision-makers who visited Booth A415 witnessed not just automation on display, but automation in action. The next step is to convert that momentum into measurable impact across factory floors nationwide.
